Springwood Mall Medical Centre provides immunisation services for children and adults. Vaccination helps protect against preventable diseases, with recommendations depending on your age, health and vaccination history.
Childhood vaccinations
Keeping vaccinations up to date helps protect your child as they grow. Routine vaccinations follow the Australian National Immunisation Program schedule. If your child has missed a vaccination or received vaccines overseas, your GP can review their records and discuss catch-up vaccinations.
Adult vaccinations
Your GP can review your immunisation history and discuss vaccines or boosters based on your age, medical conditions, pregnancy and individual needs.
Flu vaccinations
Annual flu vaccination is recommended for everyone aged six months and over. Speak with your GP about a suitable vaccine for you or your child.
Preparing for your appointment
Bring vaccination records and your child’s health record book, if applicable. Immunisation history statements are available through Medicare in myGov. Tell your clinician about allergies, previous vaccine reactions, current medicines and health concerns.
Book an appointment
Let reception know whether the appointment is for a child or adult and which vaccination is needed, if known.
